I believe that documenting your wedding or elopement is so much more than showing up on your big day & capturing gorgeous images.  

It’s also what comes before & what comes after. It’s the relationship that is built between us through every stage of planning. It’s being there for you on your day to help you feel calm during moments of chaos & to support you in any way I can. It’s the genuine friendship that continues to grow way after your images are delivered.

Yes, I will capture beautiful images for you, but I will also be there for you every step of the way! The experience is just as important as the images. I believe that every couple deserves the most amazing wedding experience and that love, all love, is meant to be celebrated & cherished.

my approach…

I will not take over your wedding day or boss anyone around. This is your day, after all! What I will do is document the heck out of you, your friends & your family enjoying every moment. I will provide gentle guidance to combat the dreaded “I’m so awkward in photos” fear & to help you feel relaxed so you can just be yourselves.

At the end of the day, you will remember I was there but not in the way. You will remember I jumped in when you needed me & that I always had your backs. You will remember that you were able to relax, let go & trust that I was capturing everything & that you will love your images when you see them!

I'm Rachel

PHOTOGRAPHER, traveler, free-spirit & mama

My background is in documentary film photography & my backyard playgrounds were NYC & Washington DC. I have had a camera in hand since my preteen years when I began my journey shooting/developing film imagery.

I followed my passion & created Rachel Bell Photography in 2010. Since then, I have photographed over 300 weddings, elopements & countless portrait sessions. My work has been featured in: Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, the New York Times, Seacoast Weddings, Real Maine Weddings, Vermont Vows, Well Wed, Better Homes & Gardens, Arizona Highways, Shout Out Arizona, and others. 

In addition to my photography experience I am also an avid world traveler, master gardener, classically trained pianist & a-cappella vocalist. I have enjoyed many years performing in musical theater & Irish dance.
